Which is the color of Terracotta?
In Florence it’s red, the same red you can see on the dome of Saint Maria del Fiore and on the roofs of the city. In Veneto it’s, ochre, the same shade that has been used for centuries to build houses in that region.
Faraway, in Beijing, the old streets of the town are paved with small grey tiles obtained by putting the clay in traditional wood ovens. This process has been literally used for thousand of years and it’s still used today.
