THE TECHNIQUE

The Components - Ventilated Walls

The ventilated wall allows for efficient management of temperature and energy. The gap between the external and internal parts of the wall creates a space in which air flows naturally upwards, producing a 'Chimney effect'.

The various components of the ventilated wall are as follows:

- wall
- insulating layer
- air chimney
- metallic support with hook up system
- terracotta tiles

The ventilated wall system can be installed both on newly constructed buildings, and on buildings where the external facade is being remodelled or restored. The wall is installed through the assemblage of various dry components (screws, weldings, stainless steel hooks), a methodology that guarantees the cleanness and rapidity of completion.

The structure of the wall must be adapted to the function of the building, its location (type of underlying structure, climatic conditions, seismic, etc.) and also to architectural and managerial demands and planning (modularity, dimensions and form of the terracotta, desired cost / durability relationship).
