The ideal temperature for the optimum comfort of a building's users is around 20°C (70°F): lower temperatures decrease comfort while higher levels lead to energy waste.

This renders the building more comfortable in both the summer and winter months, whilst also saving energy used for cooling the environment (it must be remembered that cooling systems consume more energy than heating systems).
